How to Play Crossword

Before the Game

1. Register and choose a User ID.
2. Subscribe to the event for upcoming crosswords, if any.
3. Click on the Play Button on the Event page or on the home page.
4. The leaderboard will be available only on the event page.

On the Play Game Page

1. Click on the crossword grid or the clue list to select the clue to answer.
2. Type the answers on your laptop keyboard or click on the keyboard associated with the page.
3. Save your answers once in a while. 
4. Verification of answers will be done along with saving the answers. and wrong answers will be marked in the grid.
5. Note: You have to first reach a certain level of correct answers to perform the verification, say 50% (check the rules for each language)

After the Game

1. Once you complete the crossword successfully, you will get bonus points and Ranks/Grade.
2. You may share it with your friends and followers on social media.
3. If you are in the top 10 players, your name will be on the leaderboard which will be updated every hour.

Lifeline Voting

A player can ask to reveal a grid cell. The player has to select the cell and click on the lifeline (or press the keyboard shortcut).

Your lifeline voting will be recorded. Every 30 minutes, the cells with maximum votes will be revealed to the players.

Maximum 3 lifelines are available per game.

Keyboard shortcuts

1. Ctrl+shift+ S   - Save Answers, Verify the correctness of your answers.
2. Ctrl+shift+L - Vote for Lifeline. 
3. Tab - Show the next clue.
4. Shift + Tab - Show the previous clue.
5. Esc - Ignore the answer just typed.
6. Enter - Accept the answers just typed and show the next clue.
